Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen on Twitter:

Flappy Bird is a simple iOS game based on a GameSalad template for ten bucks. About a week ago, it climbed to the top of the App Store charts and have stayed there since then. The Verge reported this wednesday that the game was raking in over $50,000 a day in advertising. Despite that, Nguyen has complained about the attention the game has received in the media and asked them to leave him alone. He has said that Flappy Bird is not for sale, and that he intends to continue creating games.

Fascinating story. At the time of writing, Flappy Bird is still available for download on App Store and Google Play. Sounds like you’d better hurry up and download it if you want to give it a spin.
